jeffkoegel: A sheet of blotter acid is the type of painting...

jeffkoegel:

A sheet of blotter acid is the type of painting that gave inspiration for 247. Happiness and Poison. The blotter features a hundred evenly-spaced dots on a grid, a quarter inch in diameter, placed edge to edge on an letter-size sheet of paper. Each dot is comprised of a single drop of colored L-25 solution applied with a eyedropper. Most interesting to me is that the blotter is a painting to be eaten, dot by dot. And like any good painting, it imposes an effect on the engaged subject's perception.

From Jeff Koegel: Slow Chemical Orchestra, currently at Merry Karnowsky Gallery Los Angeles, 247. Happiness and Poison 2012, Acrylic and Pumice on raw linen over wood panel, 40 x 34 in.

this is really lame, but I saw a picture of you and it actually made me feel good about myself. as a fat girl I haven't felt I could be pretty and posey and feminine but you look beautiful in your photograph and it gave me a lot of feelings haha and a little confidence in myself. I just wanted to tell you that. have a great day
